A Cake smash photography session is a popular choice for capturing a 1st or 2nd birthday milestone.

Before things get messy, I like to begin my sessions with a mini portrait session to capture as many beautiful, natural photos of your child without the sticky fingers! After this, we introduce the cake, give your child a wooden spoon and watch as things get messy! Children have lots of fun smashing the birthday cake or any food you wish i.e donuts, watermelon, cupcakes, cookies. 

 

My little bath tub can also be introduced to clean up and wash off all the mess from the cake and capture some playful images of baby splashing too.

These sessions are lots of fun. We sing nursery rhymes and play games to make the children feel comfortable and distract from the camera. I might even get the bubble machine out too!
